Elastic cotton and pure cotton fabrics are commonly used clothing fabrics in daily life, but what are the differences between the two?
1. Fabric material composition is different
Pure cotton is a textile product made from cotton as raw material and then processed. The proportion of pure cotton fabric is 100% cotton, while the proportion of elastic cotton is 10% or 5% Lycra (an elastic fiber, scientific name is spandex)+90% or 95% cotton. Elastic cotton can stretch freely by 4 to seven times and quickly return to its original length after external force is released, making it more elastic than pure cotton. But it cannot be used alone and can be interwoven with any other artificial or natural fibers.
2. Different fabric characteristics
Pure cotton products are generally prone to wrinkling, shrinking, and sticking, while elastic cotton performs better in these three aspects.
